| Dear Friend, Let me introduce you to our mission field. One of the truly unique cultures in our society today is that of the Law Enforcement Officer. The Lord has called me to a mission field that has been unnoticed for too long. The purpose of POFC Canada is to share the Prince of Peace with Peace Officers and their families. We are seeking to make disciples of Christ, to direct them to local churches, and challenge them to be vocal about their faith. There are several ways in which we hope to do this: 1. Literature distribution. 2. Bible Study groups in various Police services. 3. Law Enforcement Appreciation Sundays. 4. Marriage retreats for officers and their spouses. -These will be evangelistic in nature. 5. Develop Bible study material, and tracts that are geared toward the unique field of Law Enforcement. 6. Encourage local churches to pray for and seek to build bridges of Ministry and evangelism to Police Officers and their families. Police Officers as an identifiable group, have the highest rate of divorce, one of the highest rates of suicide, drug, alcohol and spousal abuse. It is a world unlike any other, one in which the occupant is surrounded daily by death, and darkness. These men and women need to know that there is hope. They must know that there is One who loves them with an undying love. Will you help us? We are seeking support, both prayer and financial. We are seeking partners who will stand with us, and reach out to those who serve us as "the minsters of God." (Romans 13) The financial needs of this ministry are simply to cover the cost of printing materials. No wages are being paid to any member of this ministry.
